It’s time to give some well-earned props to Ernie Miller, number 84 on the top 100 Rails contributors.
Ernie committed to Rails from 2008 to 2016. He’s made 95 commits, mostly in ActiveRelation and ActiveRecord — where he did a lot of work on associations, and contributed fixes which protect Rails apps against SQL injection attacks — and also in ActiveSupport and ActionPack.
Ernie’s also given a bunch of conference talks, covering topics ranging from ActiveRecord to humane development. In addition to doing a lot of open source work, he’s an excellent speaker. Here’s a slide from one of his talks, which is one of my favorite slides of all time:
Best slide I've seen about companies that don't do remote as default. They'll all die eventually - not soon enough. pic.twitter.com/gdR781VQML— James Nugent (@jen20) March 11, 2015
A big thank you to Ernie for making Rails a better framework so many times!
